Gabby Tejada: Gabby (she/her) is a sophomore at Ezra Stiles from Long Island, New York, and beyond thrilled to serve as USG of International Delegations!! She aspires to major in Political Science and Latin American Studies with a Spanish certificate. Outside of YMUN, Gabby is DG Operations for YMUN Brazil, USG of Domestic Delegations for YMUN LII, a library IT student worker, and a dancer for Yale’s Baile Folklórico group. In her free time, she loves baking sweet treats, watching rom-coms, and dancing bachata! Gabby is super excited to meet all the delegates and advisors in Mexico City this May!! OF INTERNATIONAL DELEGATIONS

Samantha Álvarez (she/her) is a junior in Pierson College studying Ethnicity, Race, and Migration and pursuing a certificate in Education Studies. She is from San Juan, Texas, just 15 minutes from the U.S. Texas–Mexico border. Samantha has previously participated in YMUN LI, YMUN Europe, and Yale Hemispheres, and as a Mexican-American, she is especially excited to join YMUN LATAM in Mexico City this year! Outside of YIRA, Samantha is involved with the Yale Women’s Center, works as a classroom assistant at a nearby elementary school, and is a research assistant for a climate-induced migration project at the Yale Center for Environmental Justice. In her free time, she enjoys attending jaripeos, listening to Brazilian phonk, and teaching friends how to dance huapangos. Darren Paredes is a first-year Sillimander—a resident of Silliman college—and a proud New Mexican. At Yale, Darren is pursuing a degree in Comparative Literature and Ethics, Politics, and Economics. When not working as a student coordinator at La Casa Cultural—Yale's Latine student center—and a barista in the Silliman Acorn, he can be found reading Dante, Garcia Marquez, or Ocean Vuong. Darren is a chronic conversationalist and is excited to guide discussions and help delegates grow in committee as USG of GAs and ECOSOCs.

Hannah Engel (she/her) is a first-year from Chapel Hill, North Carolina in Benjamin Franklin College. She is planning to major in Global Affairs with certificates in Spanish and French. She has competed in Model United Nations since 6th grade and has served as a chair for several high school conferences. She currently participates in YMUN 52 as a Crisis committee Vice Chair. On campus, Hannah spends her time working with the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association, Yale Policy Institute, and the Yale Political Union. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, going on walks, and baking. She is very excited to serve as YMUN Latam III’s USG of Specialized and Crisis Committees, and can’t wait to meet all of the delegates! Matthew Chen (he/him) is a junior in Davenport College from San Francisco, California. At Yale, he is majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. On campus, he is the Communications Director for the Yale College Council, a Tour Manager for the Yale Glee Club, and a member of the Yale Daily News Business Board. In his free time, Matthew enjoys traveling, eating food, watching shows, and exploring new places and cities. Matthew is thrilled to serve as Under-Secretary-General of Branding for YMUN Latin America III and looks forward to seeing committee topics come alive in Mexico City. Andy (he/him) is a junior in Davenport College from Portland, Oregon. He is majoring in Economics and is interested in antitrust enforcement, competition policies, and industrial organization. This year, Andy is one of YMUN LATAM III’s USG of Branding. On campus, Andy is the president of Yale Outdoors and the operations coordinator for Kesem, a summer camp that supports children through a parent's cancer. In his free time, Andy likes to bake apple pies, sample olive oil, design perfumes, and backpack around national parks!

OF OUTREACH

Edmundo Chavez Ramirez (he/him) is a sophomore in Pauli Murray College from Nogales, Arizona, double-majoring in Computer Science and Economics and pursuing a certificate in Statistics and Data Science. He is passionate about technology and enjoys building software projects that support the Yale community. On campus, Edmundo mentors with the Yale Computer Society, helps coordinate educational outreach through Splash at Yale, and plays plenty of intramural soccer in his free time. He is thrilled to serve as the Under-Secretary-General of Outreach for YMUN LATAM and looks forward to helping create an engaging and unforgettable conference experience. Leonardo Ladeira (he/him) is a sophomore in Trumbull College from Miami, Florida, majoring in Global Affairs and Applied Mathematics. He is serving as the USG of Conference for YMUN LATAM III, has previously served as both ASG and USG of Conference for YMUNs 51 and 52, and will be serving as USG of Conference for YMUN Brasil. On campus, Leo is also involved with Yale FOOT and Yale Brasil Club. In his free time, he loves to hike, bike, and spend time outdoors. Reyna Diamond (she/her) is a sophomore in Morse College from Dallas, Texas. As a prospective Cognitive Science major, she plans to focus her studies on behavioral economics. Reyna has been involved with YMUN 51 as chair of a specialized committee, and is excited to serve as a Director for YMUN Latin America II. Outside of YMUN,  Reyna spends her time debating with the Yale Debate Association, working with the Yale Student Investment Group, and giving campus tours. In her free time, she can be found reading in hammocks, exploring New Haven's coffee shops, and playing foosball and air hockey with her friends. Franziska (she/her/hers) is a sophomore in Pauli Murray College studying Global Affairs. She was born in Germany and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. Outside of YMUN LATAM III, she is a campus tour guide, a member of the Yale Ballet Company, and leads First-Year Outdoor Orientation Trips. In her free time she loves spending time outdoors, dancing, baking, and traveling. Paige is a sophomore in Benjamin Franklin College from Simsbury, Connecticut. She is majoring in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and is also pursuing an advanced language certificate in French. Paige was involved in Model UN in high school, and she's thrilled to return to MUN as a director for YMUN LATAM III. At Yale, Paige is a member of the Vogels Lab at the School of Public Health, where she researches dengue and mosquito dynamics. She also writes for the Yale Global Health Review and is involved in the Yale Prison Education Initiative's Research Request Network. In her free time, Paige likes to crochet, hike, and listen to podcasts.

Julia Clauson is a first-year student in Ezra Stiles College from Sacramento, California. She plans to double major in Political Science and History. Julia was a vice chair for YMUN New Haven, and she is a volunteer teacher in the Hemispheres program. Additionally, she is an associate with the Yale Youth Poll, contributing writer at The Politic, and Director of Recruitment for Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership in Northern California. In her free time, she loves to read, write, and listen to music. Julia is very excited to be a part of YMUN LATAM and she looks forward to meeting the delegates in May. DIRECTOR

Constantine Semka is a second-year student in Morse College, majoring in Economics and Statistics & Data Science. He grew up in Uruguay and Argentina in a Ukrainian family, and is trilingual in Spanish, English, and Russian. He also speaks French, Portuguese, and Ukrainian. At Yale, Constantine plays for Yale Polo, is a representative in Morse College Council, and leads the Salus Populi Foundation, an initiative focused on developmental economics. He also sits on the boards of the International Students Organization, where he serves as Finance Director, and the Yale Entrepreneurial Media Network Board. He is a UCG in the Mathematics Department. Outside of academics and leadership, Constantine enjoys hiking, travel, astrophysics, opera, skiing, and, naturally, growing up in Latin America, fútbol. He has backpacked through the Andes, South Africa, and Ecuador, and spent last summer working at an archaeological dig in Ecuador.
